Know how to react in case of emergency with STCW 95 courses

It is vital that you gain the necessary qualifications so that you know how to react in case of an emergency on board any large or commercial vessel. You can learn all of this on a course which concentrates on teaching participants a wide range of survival and safety procedures and techniques.

Anyone seeking work aboard a commercial vessel or any boat over 24 metres long should make sure that they have sufficient training and have gained qualifications that demonstrate basic training in safety whilst aboard. This will not only help you to get a job on board, it will also mean that if anything ever does happen whilst out at the water you will be able to react quickly and confidently and ensure the safety of yourself and everyone else on board.

You will need to learn how to identify problems and hazards and how to react to them, and this can be taught on STCW 95 courses. These courses include personal survival techniques such as using safety equipment, fire fighting and fire prevention where you will use fire fighting equipment and breathing apparatus, elementary first aid such as dealing with burns, bleeding, shock and more. You will also learn personal safety and social responsibility with accident prevention, safety procedures as well as your rights, safe working and more.

There is a substantial amount that you will learn and at the end you will take a written examination and practical assessment to test everything that you have learnt. Once you have passed you will be able to land a job on board a large vessel and know how to react in case of emergency. What you learn could save your life and the lives of others, so make sure you sign up and gain the necessary qualifications.
